Jun. 21st, 2009 12:51 pmJust wanted to thank everyone who came out to the multi-author signing event yesterday sponsored by Waldenbooks at the Oakdale Mall. It was a huge blast hanging out with my six fellow authors (Patricia Bray, Barbara Campbell, S.C. Butler, Laura Anne Gilman, Jackie Kessler, and Anton Strout) and since it was rainy out I think the mall had more traffic than usual. Plus it was the day before Father's Day. *grin* Having drinks at the restaurant beforehand definitely made us more uninhibited.
I think it was a success, with many sales reported by the bookstore manager, April. She has some signed copies of the books left over, so if you missed the event yesterday (and why did that happen?) or if you live too far away to have actually attended the event, CALL THE BOOKSTORE at (607) 798-7452 and speak to the staff about getting those signed copies you're missing mailed out to you. As I said before the event, April is more than willing to work out the payment so that you're getting the cheapest mailing rate. You can also contact her through email at fireun3 (at) yahoo (dot) com.
If you want to see how much fun we had, check out the pics at April's Facebook page. Just . . . don't look at my pics too closely because I'm fat. I gained some while away at the Kansas City grading session.
And hopefully tomorrow I'll be recovered enough to so a little write-up/summary of my talk with my editor, for those of you curious about what goes on with these types of talks.
