So, we're in the middle of what's supposed to be a rather bad storm. An ice storm (the trees are already coated, withe ice cycles), followed by a change to snow. They currently predict 5-10 inches total. Which means we can get anywhere from 0-24 inches, because they just don't know how to predict storms. (It's all based on statistics, and us mathematicians know all about statistics . . . basically, you can get it to say pretty much whatever you want.) I managed to make it to Oneonta before anything really started, but the trip back from work was a little . . . tense. Snow had started in Oneonta when I left at 1pm, but the conditions improved as I drove closer to Binghamton, where it was mostly rain, mixed with some snow and sleet to make it interesting and slushy.
In any case, looks like tomorrow will be a heavy-duty writing day. *grin*
So, for tonight, I thought I'd do a rather long post, since I've missed the last couple of days due to prep for the finals next week and finishing up with the last few classes. It's kept me busy. So here's the agenda, which I will mostly put behind cuts because I am kind:

( --Picture Contest )
( --Icon/Avatar Contest )
As you can see, I was in a picture frame of mind for these contests. Basically, the intent is to try to get more people to see the covers of the books, so that they'll be aware of them and perhaps notice them when they hit the bookstore or are surfing online. Notice that you can use the same picture for all three contests if you want to, as long as it's of The Vacant Throne. But most importantly for the second and third contests, have fun. Creativity is good.
